Quarantine measures for travellers arriving in Sri Lanka during the COVID-19 pandemic
Director General of Health Services of Sri Lanka has issued new guidlines on 28 September 2021 on quarantine measures for travellers arriving in Sri Lanka during the COVID-19 pandemic.
These guidelines are effective from 00.00 hrs on 29 September to 24.00 hrs on 31 October 2021.
Detailed information on the new quarantine measures effective from 29 September 2021 is available in the Health Ministry Circular dated 28 September 2021.

Important update (05 October 2021)
Please note that by the latest Health Ministry Circular dated 03 October 2021, the requirement to obtain the Foreign Ministry and Civil Aviation Authority approval to arrive in Sri Lanka by foreign nationals and dual citizens travelling on foreign passports has been cancelled.
Moreover, the Department of Immigration and Emigration of Sri Lanka has resumed the issuance of Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA) for fully vaccinated travellers. Fully vaccinated travellers to Sri Lanka can obtain ETAs via the link https://www.eta.gov.lk/slvisa.
