Sri Lankan High Commissioner pays farewell call on the Chief Sangha Nayaka of London Buddhist Vihara
The outgoing High Commissioner of Sri Lanka to the United Kingdom Manisha Gunasekera paid a farewell call on the Chief Incumbent of the London Buddhist Vihara and the Chief Sangha Nayake of Great Britain The Most Venerable Bogoda Seelawimala Thero at the London Buddhist Vihara on Tuesday 7 January 2020.
The High Commissioner expressed her deep appreciation for the guidance and support extended by the London Buddhist Vihara and members of the Maha Sangha under the able leadership of Venerable Seelawimala in the execution of her mandate, and in the promotion of Buddhist cultural and historical relations in the UK.
Members of the London Buddhist Vihara Management Committee Dr. Lakdas Panagoda and Leslie Dep, and London Buddhist Vihara Coordinator Amal Abeyawardene were present at the meeting. The High Commissioner was accompanied by officials of the Sri Lanka High Commission.
