Consular Appointments

Except for applying for Emergency Passports, Life Certificates of senior citizens for their pension related needs, Application for Visas and Application for Death Certificates, prior appointments should be made for all other consular services.

To make an appointment, you need to first  create an account using your email address as the user name and a password of your choice.

You may change the date and time of your appoitment subsequently, if necessary, using the same login details. If you are unable to visit the Consular Section on the date of your appointment or if you are not visiting the Consular Section at all for some reason after making an appointment, please be kind enough to cancel the appointment enabling someone else to use the time slot.

Please note that appointments can only be made online. It is not possible to make appointments over the phone. If you have any further inquiries please contact us via the email – consular.london@mfa.gov.lk

In case there are no available appointments on your desired date but you need some Consular service urgently (for instance renewal of passport due to expiry of the present passport soon), please make an appointment on the next available date and time  and send us an email to consular.london@mfa.gov.lk explaining the need for you to visit the Consular Section of the High Commission before the  date/time of the appointment. We will endeavour to facilitate the service you require earlier than the date/time of appointment. However, please note that it is the responsibility of applicants to apply for the required Consular service without waiting for the last moment.
