While recognizing the importance of the maritime industry in global trade and sustainable development, High Commissioner reiterated Sri Lanka’s commitment to actively contributing to the IMO’s objectives and initiatives towards a safer, more secure, and more environmentally sustainable maritime domain. High Commissioner Rohitha Bogollagama attended the 03^rd Commonwealth Trade and Investment Summit (CTIS), organised by the Commonwealth Enterprise and Investment Council (CWEIC), which is being held in London on 27^th & 28^th November 2023. The CTIS was attended by many Commonwealth dignitaries including the participation of head of state from Samoa, Ministers of Trade and Industry of Ghana and Nigeria, High Commissioners, senior officials, business leaders, technocrats etc, from across the Commonwealth, for two-day sessions, meetings, round table sessions and networking.

High Commissioner Rohitha Bogollagama met with Lord Brennan Kc, member of the House of Lords on 23 November 2023 at the High Commission of Sri Lanka in the United Kingdom.

The High Commissioner discussed with Lord Brennan Kc, matters related to Sri Lanka-United Kingdom bilateral relations with a special emphasis on economic engagement. High Commissioner briefed Lord Brennan the reconciliation process in Sri Lanka and highlighted that Lord Brennan’s expertise in this area would significantly contribute to Sri Lanka’s journey in reconciliation, recovery, and progressive development.
