Westminster Abbey Hosts Special Evensong Prayer for Independence Day Celebrations

The Westminster Abbey held a special Evensong Prayer service in honour of the 76th Independence Day of Sri Lanka, on February 9th. The Westminster Abbey, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, has been the coronation church since 1066 and is the final resting place of seventeen monarchs.

The Evensong Prayer service provided an opportunity for reflection and gratitude, as attendees gathered to commemorate the anniversary of independence with reverence and solemnity. The service included prayers for the nation, its leaders, and its citizens.
