High Commission of Sri Lanka Delivers Mobile Consular Service in Dundee, Scotland
The High Commission of Sri Lanka in the United Kingdom conducted a mobile consular service in Dundee, Scotland, on 22nd November 2025, providing convenient access to essential consular support for Sri Lankans living in the region. The programme was held at the University of Dundee, making it easily accessible to students, families, and community members.
Headed by Ms. Chathurika Sankapali, Minister of the High Commission, the team efficiently assisted over 100 individuals with their consular needs. Attendees were able to submit applications for birth registrations, new passports and passport renewals, dual citizenship, and police clearance certificates, as well as receive support with processing documents such as powers of attorney, foreign leave extensions, and other consular-related services and consultations. The successful delivery of this initiative was made possible through the invaluable support of Dr. Sajeewa Fernando, Lecturer at the University of Dundee, whose coordination and commitment greatly contributed to the smooth organisation and efficient operation of the consular services.
This mobile programme highlights the High Commission’s ongoing efforts to extend its services across Scotland and the wider UK, ensuring that Sri Lankans can access efficient and responsive consular services closer to home.
