Sri Lanka Participated at the ‘Natural and Organic Products Europe’, in London from 22nd- 23rd April 2018
The Sri Lanka High Commission facilitated the participation of Sri Lanka Tea Board and four (04) Sri Lankan companies at the ‘Natural & Organic Products Europe’ trade show held from 22nd- 23rd April 2018 at ExCel, London. Euro-Scan Exports Private Ltd, Hidellana Tea Factory Private Ltd, Vivo Tea Company Ceylon Private Ltd and Lions Management Private Ltd took part in the trade show.

President Maithripala Sirisena represented Sri Lanka at the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting and participated in connected meetings and events in London from 16 to 21 April 2018. The formal Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting consists of the pre-meeting of the Ministers of Foreign Affairs, the formal meeting of the Heads of Government and the Leaders Retreat. President Sirisena was accompanied by the Minister of Foreign Affairs Tilak Marapana.
President Maitripala Sirisena attended the Cultural Pageant at the Harrow Leisure Centre in the afternoon of 21 April 2018, organised by the Sri Lanka Education, Cultural and Welfare Foundation and the Kingsbury Buddhist Temple, London presided over by its patron, Aggamahapanditha Ven. Galayaye Piyadassi Thero.
Commonwealth Centre for Digital Health was launched in London, today (20). President Maithripala Sirisena joined as the Chief Guest on the occasion.

Achieving a Sustainable future is as in many other countries, a main concern of the Government of Sri Lanka, said President Maithripala Sirisena intervening in the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting Session, yesterday (19).
Lord Baron Naseby, a member of the British House of Lords, met with President Maithripala Sirisena in London, yesterday (18).
The UK’s Secretary of State for International Trade Liam Fox says that the Government of Britain is ready for direct investments in Sri Lanka, while increasing the investments in the country. He further said that the necessary process in this regard will be implemented in the near future.
President Maithripala Sirisena addressing the Sri Lankan community living in London said that the attempts made by some to hide the truth and promote the falsehood are a hindrance to the forward march of the Motherland.
