Sri Lanka showcased at Stevenage Day Ahead of “Ayubowan Sri Lanka- Welcome to Paradise”

The High Commission of Sri Lanka in the United Kingdom, in collaboration with the Sri Lanka Society of Bedfordshire CIC and Stevenage Borough Council, hosted a Sri Lanka promotional stall at Stevenage Day on 14 June 2026.

The stall was ceremonially opened by the High Commissioner of Sri Lanka to the United Kingdom, H.E. Nimal Senadheera, alongside the Mayor of Stevenage, Councillor Lloyd Briscoe, and Mr. Kevin Bonavia, MP for Stevenage, marking a significant moment of community engagement and partnership.

The activity served to promote the upcoming “Ayubowan Sri Lanka – Welcome to Paradise” event, scheduled for 18 July 2026 at Event Island, Stevenage Town Centre, which is an initiative to raise awareness of Sri Lanka’s culture, tourism, trade, and investment opportunities among the wider public.

The stall attracted strong public interest and provided an effective platform to promote the forthcoming Sri Lanka Day celebrations.
