Inquiries from the Sri Lankan community about providing assistance to the people affected by the Easter Sunday terrorist attacks

The High Commission of Sri Lanka in London has received a number of inquiries from well-wishers about ways of providing assistance to the people affected by the terrorist attacks.

The High Commission wishes to inform that the Government of Sri Lanka does not operate any Special Fund for this purpose.

His Eminence Cardinal Malcolm Ranjith has announced that the Arch Diocese of Colombo has set up a Special Fund, to be managed by Caritas, which can be used by benefactors to send donations for the benefit of the affected people as well as the reconstruction of the affected churches.
