The event brought together distinguished professionals and community leaders to highlight the contributions of Sri Lankan women across industries and generations while championing gender equality and empowerment.

“Ceylon Tea” promoted at Darwin College, Cambridge University- UK

The High Commission of Sri Lanka in London, jointly with the Darwin College Tea Society of Cambridge University and the International Tea Committee (ITC) in the UK, conducted a Ceylon Tea Tasting and awareness session on 01st March 2025 at the historic Darwin Hall of the Darwin College. The programme was held under the theme of the Darwin College Tea Society, titled ‘Travel with Tea’ and as a part of its annual cultural promotion activities. Ms. Agustina Villalba, the President of the Darwin College Tea Society, together with her Treasurer Mr. Kui Li, worked closely with Mr. Somasena Mahadiulwewa, Minister (Commercial) of Sri Lanka High Commission and Mr. Suranga James Perea, Executive Director of the ITC-UK to organize this tea tasting evening.
