Facility to complete Arrival and Departure Card online
Facilities have been provided to complete the arrival cards by foreigners coming to Sri Lanka and Departure cards by Sri Lankans leaving the country online with effect from 01-01-2023.
The air passengers can fill this card online three days prior to their travel, via the official web site www.immigration.gov.lk of the Department of Immigration and Emigration or through https://eservices.immigration.gov.lk/emb/eEmbarkation/’#/home-page web page.
Sri Lanka – United Kingdom Chamber of Commerce holds the first Annual General Meeting
The Sri Lanka – UK Chamber of Commerce held its first Annual General Meeting at the Sri Lanka High Commission in London on 12th January 2023 under the patronage of the High Commissioner of Sri Lanka to the United Kingdom Saroja Sirisena.
The Sri Lanka – UK Chamber of Commerce was launched on 26th October 2021 in the presence of the then Foreign Minister Prof G L Peiris and the UK Prime Minister’s Trade Envoy for Sri Lanka Lord Davies of Abersoch under the auspicious of the Sri Lanka High Commission in the UK, with a view to strengthening the bilateral trade relations, promoting of investment, tourism and Small and Medium Enterprises. Guidelines as at 6 December 2022 for arriving in Sri Lanka from overseas
The preventive measures for persons arriving in Sri Lanka from overseas during the COVID-19 pandemic, which were last put in place by the Health Authorities of Sri Lanka on 18 April 2022 have been revised with effect from 7 December 2022.
Accordingly;
- The requirement to produce COVID-19 Vaccination Certificate by any person arriving in Sri Lanka from overseas has been removed.
- The requirement to produce a pre-boarding on on arrival negative COVID-19 test (PCR/RAT) by any person arriving in Sri Lanka from overseas has been removed.
- If any foreign national tests positive for COVID-19 after arrival in Sri Lanka, they should isolate for 7 days in a private hospital, hotel or place of residence. The cost of treatment or self-isolation should be borne by them.
- The above measures will supersede all other directives previously issued by the Health Authorities of Sri Lanka.
